Durfee High School School Counseling Department Mission Statement
The mission of the School Counseling Department at Durfee High School is to support and empower the academic, personal/social and career development of all students. In collaboration with school, family, and community partners, school counselors will guide all students, regardless of disability, language acquisition needs, socio-economic status, ethnicity, or gender identification to become resilient, productive and contributing members of their community.

Financial Aid Night Information
In past years, B.M.C. Durfee High School’s Counseling Department has offered Financial Aid Nights. Since the Covid 19 pandemic, many families appreciate this information in a virtual fashion. Therefore, please watch one or both of the videos below for an overview of the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) and question/answer sessions with parents!
In these videos, representatives from our partner organizations, uApsire and Talent Search, discuss their financial aid support services available to BMC Durfee High School students and families. Please be aware that, in late 2025, the federal government eliminated some of the support to public schools, but we still have one Talent Search counselor and a UAspire counselor to support our students.

Durfee Alumni Scholarship
Time is running out to apply for the Durfee Alumni Scholarship! The Alumni scholarship gives over $70,000 in scholarship money to Durfee seniors each year!
